Many people ignore when their light comes on for this very reason. Yet, this is usually the first warning sign that something is wrong with a transmission. Whenever a check engine light comes on, it is always important to seek auto repair. It's always better to be safe than sorry.
If only one light is acting up, check the bulb first for proper connection, Carefully remove the bulb and clean the connectors on the back of the bulb and inside the light housing. Check the ground to the frame. This can be a short wire of just the bolts holding the light to the trailer frame.
Vehicles are built to last long and strong so you will find their owners very much happy with their performance. You only have to buy replacement parts to maintain the quality of your vehicle. This is what most people do instead of buying another car for the same purpose. Bu then again, if you can afford it, an additional unit is pure joy for every family.
